History of BSP Group
BSP was founded in 1997. The founding Directors, Mark Braithwaite, Julie Steiner and Mark Pretty moved into search from leadership roles where they had seen both the good and bad of the global search firms. Our mission from the outset was to provide no compromise executive search.

• 1997 - Technology and Media were the founding practices of BSP
• 1999 – The BSP Arts Practice was launched
• 2000 – The Q4 Executive Search subsidiary was created
• 2002 – The BSP Higher Education Practice was launched
• 2003 – Opened our first offshore office in Singapore
• 2004 – We established the Financial Services and Energy Practices
• 2006 – Opened our second offshore office in Hong Kong
• 2007 – Opened an office in Tokyo
• 2008 – Expanded into Seoul and established Shanghai and Mumbai satellite offices
BSP has now achieved a critical mass where we have regional coverage for all of our clients. BSP is the Asia Pacific member of Access Search Partners which is now the largest technology search alliance in the world. In the Higher Education and Arts sectors in Australia, BSP is the dominant player by a significant margin.
We measure our success by the success of our clients. The demand for what we do has continued to increase and today BSP is more than we ever imagined it would become. Our challenge is to maintain our hallmark quality.
