Johan leads BSP’s Japan business and is focused on key senior executive appointments for US, European and Japanese Technology companies. Since joining BSP in 2007, Johan has successfully completed searches for C-level, VP and Director roles in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, HR and Finance. His clients vary from blue-chip companies, to small niche players. He has led many searches for companies hiring their first executive in Japan.
Prior to joining BSP, Johan spent 6 years in a Japanese search firm. He speaks fluent Japanese and is intimately familiar with Japanese business culture.
Originally from the Netherlands, Johan started his international career for a Dutch exporter in their Japan office, later joining a major Japanese trading firm, operating in Japan, Europe and the Middle East. Johan graduated with an MA from Leiden University in Japanese Language and Culture.
