Julie Steiner
Julie Steiner co-founded BSP in 1997. Prior to this she had spent more than 20 years at CEO level in public and private sector organisations. Building large and complex organisations with international affiliations has been her specialty. Julie is a graduate of Melbourne University.
Julie leads the Higher Education and Schools, Government, Health, Media, Arts and Cultural sector practice areas. Her clients are at Vice-Chancellor, CEO and Board level across a wide range of private and public sector institutions. The firm is a key partner to institutions wishing to be strategic in their plans to secure their future leaders. The ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders is a common theme in her search work.
Amongst these projects has been the foundation CEO for Skills Australia, the DVC Research and PVC Health Sciences for University of Newcastle, the DVC TAFE Swinburne University, the Vice-Chancellors of UNE and Flinders University and the PVC Malaysia, Monash University.
In the media and arts and culture sectors Julie has worked on the searches for the Directors of AFTRS and NIDA, the Director of Television for the ABC and the Executive Director of the Australian Ballet.
